Deutsche Bahn is expanding its long-distance fleet with 17 high-quality double-decker trains from Stadler. The first 9 trains will be operational on the new Rostock-Dresden line on 08.03.2020.
Until now, the trains were used by the Austrian Western Railway. We have prepared the most important facts about the new intercity in our long-distance fleet for you.

Everything important about the new Intercity Rostock – Dresden:
- The new intercity trains were built in 2017 by the Swiss manufacturer Stadler.
- The new Intercity is a double-decker train.
- On the route between Rostock, Berlin and Dresden, the trains are on the way for you.
- The top speed of the new Intercity is 200 km/h
- The new Intercity is a 4-car train.
- The total length is 106 meters.
- There is a power outlet in each seat.
- Wi-Fi is installed and available throughout the train.
- There are two café areas throughout the train (see pictures)
- There is also a gastronomic service with hot and cold drinks, snacks and baguettes.
- The new Intercity has 8 bicycle spaces and 2 wheelchair spaces
- For families there is an extra family area including changing table
- In total, the new Intercity offers 302 seats
- There are 31 seats in the 1. class and 238 seats in the 2nd Class. 16 seats in the café areas and 17 folding seats.
- FunFact: The new intercity accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 30 seconds.
