Czech state railway operator CD now has its own Railjets to provide the service on this route:Prague/Praha – Pardubice – Brno – Breclav – Wien – Bruck an der Mur – Graz.
The train service between the Austrian and Czech capitals is exclusively provided by Railjets. CD on the other side is taking care of all the departure management.
The luggage space is comparatively generous so traveling by Railjet is comparatively stress-free.
the CD Railjets is similar to the Austrian (OBB) Railjets – which meaning that the design of the train belongs to the top of European level in terms of comfort and ambiance.
Boarding on this train and how to find a Seat on CD Railjets:
Seats don’t have to be reserved on the CD Railjets,( especially for example the Business Class on Friday and Sunday afternoons/evenings.) but reservations are recommended – particularly in Economy class between May and October (these trains are a magnet for rail pass owner)
Seat reservations are marked on electronic indicators by the seat numbers – see a seat number with no text and the seat will be free for the entire journey
The bar/bistro on Railjets provides both hot meal and cold meals with a reasonable price. A full restaurant facility is available and passengers traveling with 1st or 2nd class tickets can take seats in this restaurant car.
Passengers in the first-class can order their meals directly from the seats and let the means to delivered.
